An Exploratory Study on Farmer’s Perception about dairy-based Farmer Producer Companies in India

Farmer Producer Company (FPCs) has emerged as a novel collective approach model and is considered to be very effective tool for improving the overall socio-economic development of small marginal farmers in India. To authenticate this prerogative, survey was conducted among 360 dairy farmer members 12 dairy-based producer companies three states Most expressed that major objectives FPCs are maximize benefits (75.50%), capacity building its (76.38%), better accessibility agricultural services (74.44%) followed by reducing transport cost (72.75%). Furthermore, study also investigated variables their relationship with individual perception about FPCs. Findings aid us formulate an appropriate strategy will help improve farmers’ Enhanced awareness knowledge beneficial effects encourage fellow form reap on larger scale
